For You (Luv' EP) : ウィキペディア英語版
For You (EP)

''For You'' is an EP by Dutch girl group Luv' released in September 1989 by Dureco/High Fashion records. It was recorded by a formation different from the original line-up (the only original member being Marga Scheide).
It includes the moderate hit song Welcome to My party as well as other singles: I Don't Wanna Be Lonely, Girl Like Me and Hit-Medley. ''For You'' marked the group's comeback after its break-up in 1981.
==Album history==
In early 1989, the Dutch and Flemish media were speculating about a reunion of the original Luv' singers who were popular ten years earlier in a dozen of countries with hits like "You're the Greatest Lover", "Trojan Horse" and "Casanova". The trio was announced to record new material produced by the British hit machine Stock Aitken Waterman. However, this project never happened. José Hoebee refused to be part of Luv' because of family duties. Soon after, Patty Brard didn't want to belong to the trio.
Marga Scheide was the only one to carry on. That's why she formed a new version of the girl group by recruiting two vocalists: Diana van Berlo and Michelle Gold. Hans van Hemert and Piet Souer, who conceived the original trio in 1977, weren't involved in the new Luv'. As they held the copyright on all the aspects of the group, they gave Marga official permission to use the name of Luv' and its heart-shaped logo.
With the help from Marga's partner Jacques Zwart (a.k.a. E. Mergency), a new musical direction was chosen. English record producer Nigel Wright was hired to supervise new recordings. Wright was an experimented artist who had produced hit records for Shakatak, Imagination and Mirage. Under his guidance, Luv' recorded an EP (entitled ''For You'') that was inspired by the dance-pop sound of PWL which enjoyed success in Western countries in the late 1980s with acts like Kylie Minogue, Mel & Kim, Bananarama and Rick Astley. The recording sessions took place at the Dureco Studio in Weesp. The songs were engineered in London.
The first single taken from ''For You'' was "Welcome To My Party" that peaked at #22 on the Dutch Top 40 and #28 on the Flemish BRT Top 30. It was far from the excellent performances of the Luv' records released during their heyday between 1978 and 1980. The other singles off the EP failed to break into the hit lists. Although chart success was a distant memory, the ladies toured the clubs circuit and often performed on TV.
